Six Seasons
Six Seasons
Joshua McFadden cooked at Ava Gene's here in Portland, and this is the vegetable book that came out of it. His idea is that a year has six seasons, not four, because summer comes in three distinct waves, and the recipes follow the vegetables as they arrive.
It won the James Beard Award for vegetable-focused cooking, and it is the kind of cookbook that ends up splattered and stuck full of notes, which is the best review a cookbook can get.

If you want to know how a piece is made, how big it really is, or whether it will suit a particular person, email admin@mossandfog.com and we will answer from the studio.
