Ten Birds That Changed the World
We have hunted birds, kept them, worshipped them and written poems about them for as long as there have been people. British naturalist Stephen Moss tells that whole story through ten species, from Odin's ravens to Darwin's finches, the wild turkey of the Americas and the poor, doomed dodo.
It reads like a series of great dinner party stories, and every chapter sends you outside to look up. A perfect gift for the birdwatcher in your life, or the one about to become one.
