Imaginary Authors is a Portland perfume house built on books that were never written. Every scent in the library is credited to an invented author and arrives with a synopsis for a novel you cannot buy, so Memoirs of a Trespasser is filed under one Philip Sava and reads like a notice for exploration writing that does not exist. The perfume is the book.
The Short Story Collection is eight of them in miniature, and the packaging is the best argument for the whole idea. The box opens like a hardback. Inside the cover it asks what treasures will be unlocked, and the vials sit in a die cut well like something pressed between pages.
We shelve this in the Reading Room rather than with the candles, because that is where it belongs. Eight openings in one evening, and by the end you know which one is yours. Josh Meyer founded the house here in Portland in 2012, which makes them neighbors.
Eight 2ml glass spray vials, roughly forty half sprays each. The set costs $10 less than the same eight bought singly.

US orders over $50 ship free by USPS. Under that, USPS Priority is calculated at checkout, usually around $8. Every order leaves our studio in Portland, Oregon within 2 to 3 business days, with a tracking number by email.
International orders ship USPS or DHL at the rate shown at checkout; duties and import taxes are the recipient's. Printables and downloads arrive by email the moment you check out.
