Hand Carved Oak Spinning Top
A spinning top turned from solid oak, with nothing added to it. No paint, no decals, no batteries. You pinch the stem, twist, and watch. On a hard floor a well thrown one will keep going for the better part of a minute, wandering in slow circles and sometimes climbing a tile seam on its way.
We keep one in a coat pocket. It has quietly rescued more restaurant dinners than any phone, and it works just as well on a picnic table or on a desk at four in the afternoon. The grain runs differently on every one, which is what happens when a shape is cut instead of moulded.
Hand carved from 100% oak and sanded smooth. About 1.5 inches across and 1.5 inches tall, stem included. Contains small parts, so not for children under three.

Questions
Everything here is something we would put in a Moss & Fog article: made by a small studio or an independent maker, bought and stocked by us, and packed by hand. If you want to know how a piece is made, how big it really is, or whether it will suit a particular person, email admin@mossandfog.com and we will answer from the studio.
