Moss & Fog now operates out of Portland, Oregon. Honestly, it was always going to end up here. A site named after moss and fog belongs in the one corner of the country that produces both in professional quantities.
The move changed more than the return address. Portland put us inside one of the best design communities in America, and the shelves show it. When we started stocking Draplin Design Co., we didn't fill out a wholesale form and wait for a truck. We drove fifteen minutes and picked up the box ourselves.

The rest of the collection reads like a travel journal, because that's more or less what it is. The BANG lights above stopped us cold the first time we saw them, and we've been quietly obsessed since. Our hats come from Jared Jacob's small-batch studio in Salida, Colorado. The colour theory prints and games come from Roomytown in Bath, England, where centuries-old color wheels get reprinted with the reverence they deserve. And then there's the backyard. The giant sequoia pinecones were gathered by hand in our own neighborhood, and the camp and outdoor collection is built for the kind of weekends this region insists on. The moss and fog in the name used to be a sensibility. Now it's the walk to the studio.
